Elizabeth Ostrander Sutton

This is a very interesting pamphlet about Sutton's two-year experience of spiritual development while she was a resident at Pendle Hill. Her productive spiritual practices included working with clay; the insights, nudges, and inner processing that arose from the clay work informed and interacted with her prayer, reading, and writing. she describes tellingly how this worked for her, opening up a relationship with God, coming to know herself and her fears, and bringing her to a commitment to a life centered in God. As she weaves the tale of her clay vessels and her spiritual life back and forth, she recounts her own process, which may indeed offer provocative insights and challenges to the reader.
