Ash lost his wife a long time ago and still mourns her. He doesn't date and has been solely focused on building his business and taking care of his children as a single parent. Then Rye, the daughter of his best friend, enters his life and he is blindsided. He should not be attracted to her. His is 46 and she is 28, the age of his oldest son.
Rye has had a crush on Ash since she was 16. Now home to help her father with his wedding plans (he is also widowed) they are thrown together and the heat and trouble begins.
I liked the characters a lot in this book. However, I really enjoyed how the author showed different ways in which people handle and work through grief. Especially survivors guilt. This book is a beach read, it also had a lot more substance to it that I was expecting.
