This was an interesting story. It was more about dealing with grief than the title and blurb suggests.

Ash lost his wife a long time ago and still mourns her. He doesn't date and has been solely focused on building his business and taking care of his children as a single parent. Then Rye, the daughter of his best friend, enters his life and he is blindsided. He should not be attracted to her. His is 46 and she is 28, the age of his oldest son.

Rye has had a crush on Ash since she was 16. Now home to help her father with his wedding plans (he is also widowed) they are thrown together and the heat and trouble begins.

I liked the characters a lot in this book. However, I really enjoyed how the author showed different ways in which people handle and work through grief. Especially survivors guilt. This book is a beach read, it also had a lot more substance to it that I was expecting.

Set aside a day for this steamy, contemporary age-gap forbidden romance that starts in March when 29-year-old Rye Linden moves back to Chicago to start her own florist business and is asked to plan her father's second wedding, assisted by his best friend whom she has had a crush on for over a decade.

Have a tissue handy on the day it takes to read this adult age-gap coming-of-age romance set in Houston, Texas between 21-year-old ornithologist Jenna O'Donnell and 35-year-old drummer Chase MacAllister, but do NOT read in public as guffaws will ensue.
