This book is very easy to understand. Colorful illustrations for engagement. This book explains the functions of Government. Young students can learn how officials are elected or appointed and how government agencies work for the people's benefit. Appropriate for young children.
Barrons always has great books for students to read. It makes learning about the Bill of Rights easier such as by breaking it up and focusing on the different amendments. It shows the differences and similiarities of how we protect our freedom now compared to how it was protected in the past.
This book is filled with a lot of good information--almost too good. Elementary students with the a book that is primarily text driven. Most two-page spreads contain some kind of hand-drawn graphic or info box. However, pictures are done in blue and white and don't lend a lot of information to most sections. Contains a glossary, bibliography and index. Bibliography should be updated. Would be better suited to younger students with better full-color photos. Purchase where election books are in demand as the information is good.… (plus d'informations)
