I felt it important to write a review about this book because of the life changing role it played when I was in my early teens and just discovering paganism. It speaks of a beautiful, deep rooted tradition told from the point of view of a hereditary english witch. The author conveys a great sense of knowledge in astrology, trees, herbs, mythology and spellcraft that is not found in the writings of 'modern' wiccan authors who discovered the craft themselves. The author's beliefs are not only a part of her life, but of her familial and cultural identity. This book is also visually stunning with interesting and funny antecdotes throughout. She leads us through the pagan calender, with each chapter describing the history of the festival, her personal celebrations and spells and songs for each one. This humble 160pg. book will forever be one of my favourite occult books of all time.… (plus d'informations)
