If you think you know what the Bible says about homosexuality then think again. Sharpe notes how so much of our reading of the Bible is based on how others have read it, and even on mis-translation. He invites us to look again at the texts used to condemn homosexuality, presenting, in what he calls the "Defensive Testament", an alternative approach. In his "Affirmative Testament" he suggests other passages from the Bible which are helpfully read from the LGBT perspective. Although some of his "affirmations" are tentative and perhaps even contentious, I nevertheless found his "defensive" arguments convincing and my traditional reading of the Bible has been challenged.… (plus d'informations)
