A biography of former Mayor of New York and business Titan. The book bordered oh hagiography as it coincided with his ill-fated run for the presidency and attempted to paint him as a very capable leader. In totality this may have had some merit as Mr. Bloomberg is certainly a talented innovator and administrator. Would this have carried over into the immense responsibility of leadership in the presidency is questionable.

Mike Bloomberg's driven an visionary zeal made him a billionaire. He attempted to apply this to government in his tenure as mayor of the major metropolis, New York. Some success, some failure but overall one has to probably concede Bloomberg's work in the mayor ship was on balance impressive. The book spends most of its contents on this period of his life. We learn precious little about his personal life. The one disturbing element of Mike Bloomberg that surfaces throughout his life is the massive use of personal accumulated wealth to influence outcomes, particularly political.
