Hedgehog's Home for Fall is a perfect addition to any children's bookshelf. With its engaging storyline, beautiful illustrations, and educational components, it not only entertains but also instills an appreciation for nature and the changing seasons. Young readers will undoubtedly be enchanted by Hedgehog's autumnal adventure and the valuable lessons it imparts about the importance of adaptation and coexistence in the natural world.

When I was little (okay, not just then) I was fascinated by “lift-the-flap” picture books. This one is an entertaining story for toddlers (and their parents) featuring a puppy who is looking for a birdie. As he looks in a variety of potential hiding places - in the pond, in a burrow, under a leaf - he doesn’t find a bird but he does find all kinds of other cute creatures who live in those places. Finally, of course, he locates the birdie - spoiler alert - in a nest!

The author, who is also the illustrator, fills this 14-page book with bright colors and cute animals. The thick board pages will be easy for children to hold.

Evaluation: This book is rated for kids 0-3 years. It is perhaps a reflection of my mental age that I loved it as well. As an extra bonus, kids will learn something about animal habitats.
