I typically shy away from books in the sci-fi/fantasy world. However, when I read the synopsis of this book about a genius female with a far superior eidetic and photographic memory that has ever existed.

It captivated me from the start when she was 18 and graduating from Harvard. She was invited to join a top secret project that her father was apart of and even the new president. Her world turns inside out when she discovers something hidden in the basement while trying to find her Dad.

Finding herself in an alternate world from her own, she might be the only person who is able to save herself and both her world and this new world she has landed in.

Action packed and full of heart, courageousness and finding hope again. A perfect page turner…I really need a book two now!!

I have had the pleasure of reading previous books by Bryan K Prosek and was excited to have the opportunity to read his release, A Measure of Serenity. I was not disappointed and enjoyed reading this story. I am not a huge sci fi and fantasy fiction fan, but glad that I wanted to give this one a chance. I really liked reading it. It was a fun journey to take to whole different world and away from the stresses of every day life. The character of teen Serenity Ashdown was a great one to know. I admired her bravery and determination. Her tale was entertaining with a unique plot. It was refreshing to read something different. I found the author’s talent really shines through. There were a few scenes that were a little over my head but I was quickly able to catch on and keep reading. I liked it.

I am giving A Measure of Serenity four and a half stars. Fans of the Young Adult, Science Fiction, Fantasy Fiction, and Paranormal Fiction will want to give it a try. I think it is worth a read. I am looking forward to see what other books from Bryan K Prosek to see where else he takes his readers, fans and characters to next in his upcoming releases.

I received a paperback copy of A Measure of Serenity from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

The Darker the Skies is the second installment from the Earth United series by Bryan Prosek. I had the pleasure of reading book one of the series, The Brighter the Stars and was excited to have the opportunity to read this one. I was not disappointed. Since this is part of a series, it would be best to start with the first book to get a better idea as to what is going on in the current plot. It was great catching up with Jake and his friends to find out the adventure that awaits this time around. I thought it was entertaining to go along the story to see what was in store for him. The tale was fast paced and full of action that made me want to keep reading. I thought it was a great read that I could not put down and had no problem having the whole book read in just two evenings.
I am giving The Darker the Skies will be getting five stars from me. Fans, including teens, of science fiction, young adult and fantasy will most definitely want to give it a read, as well as, the first installment from the Earth United series. I will on the lookout for most exciting books from Bryan Prosek to see where his imagination will take his readers to next.

The Brighter the Stars is a great start to the Earth United series. It is a wonderful way to be introduced to the writings of the talented Bryan Prosek. It was a fun journey to go one hundred and sixty years into the future. I am not a huge fan of the science fiction genre but I was quickly interested in this story. I was quite the adventure to take with the main characters, Jake, Diane and Cal. There were a lot of plot twists and turns that I could not have predictable. I liked the build up of some suspense in a few scenes. I never knew what would become of the characters from page to page. I had fun going on this adventure and the take what the Earth could possibly look like many years from now. It was entertaining read and nice surprise to try something new to read.

I am giving The Brighter the Stars four and a half stars. I believe readers who enjoy reading science fiction and young adult genres, will want to read this one. I am looking forward to reading the next book from the Earth United series, The Darker the Skies to see what happens next in the series and what else the talented author, Bryan Prosek has in store for his characters.
