This story is soooo stupid it becomes sort of hilarious.

Pooh wants to go fishing at sunrise and is counting on the sun coming through the window on his front door to wake him. But in the night, out of nowhere, a very large brown and very real bear sits down in front of the teddy bear's door and blocks the window. Keep in mind bears have been extinct in England for a thousand years or so, but nevertheless, here he is.

Rabbit and Piglet want to go fishing with Pooh and unsuccessfully try to get the bear to move so they can wake him. Isn't there an adage about letting sleeping bears lie? There should be, right?

Anyhow, Pooh wakes up on his own, talks to his friends out a side window, and offers a solution. No more bear, no more care, tra la la.

Since the book is a reader for children, the whole thing is written in short sentences and simple words, which just adds to my amusement.

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

One of those books that seems to be written by someone who assumes kids are stupid and will just accept anything you tell them.

So Tigger has a toy airplane. But it really flies. And he can direct how it flies without any sort of mechanism or remote control. And it's large enough to carry a couple of small friends. And it can land and take off on a piece of land smaller in diameter than its own wingspan.

So, yeah, Tigger actually owns a MAGIC airplane.

And it becomes necessary to use all its magic when one friend gets in a little spot of trouble. And then it will never be seen again in the Hundred-Acre Wood.… (plus d'informations)
