If you're reading this review, you're probable a fan of the Weiss Kreuz (animes, ova, pre-anime manga, and/or radio dramas/seiyuue concerts) so you'll love it. Not a fan, no problem. The story is a stand alone series, meaning you don't need prior knowledge of the series to appreciate it.

Aya and Ken, are joined by a cast of new characters including a tall, stoic mystic; a sugar-crazied chibi; a quiet orphan; and a charismatic blonde romantic, rounding out a varied cast that like the previous series goes from light-hearted/comical to serious/stoic as the story progresses. Compared to the previous series the storyline is more complex and the artwork is far better than the original anime series (released in 1998, the animation fail is fairly epic) and slightly better than the previous manga series (Assassin and the White Shaman, which takes place before the series and gives an alternative storyline for one of the characters Aya).
