Two of Neale's insights -- namely (1) that what helps the dying most is to be able to identify exactly what it is that one dreads about death, and (2) while survivors are losing the dying person, the the dying person is facing the loss of simply everything -- have been the most helpful resources I have ever encountered in facing up to my own demise, and in dealing with death and dying.
