I will be honest, I had high expectations for this Novel in Verse. It was a bit bland, fell flat for me. Annamaria is approached by someone who claims to be her older self from the future. "Thirty", as Annamaria she refers to her, is there to help guide her away from the mistakes she will make in the future, while at the same time protecting her from those who want to abduct her. The story deals with the stress of being different in a Mexican city close to the border, worrying about grades and fearing that she will be taken in the night by those looking to sex traffic young Mexican girls. This is definitely one that is for the high schooler level. I would give it 3.5 stars.… (plus d'informations)
