I picked this book up because I was intrigued by a capable woman engineer meeting a domineering alien. However, the story just did not flow for me.

Sage is an engineer who is a strong small curvy Earthling but has some insecurities when it comes to relationships. She's reckless and impulsive which gets her in some harrowing experiences and almost gets her mate, Brok, killed. However, she's doing it because she's not one to sit back and watch as her alien man does all the work.

Brok is a Rhonar warrior who has finally found his mate, Sage, and wants to protect her. He is broody due to an abusive and tragic past, but he opens up slowly as Sage fills the void in his hearts (yeah, he has more than one). And, as every alien does, he has some other interesting anatomy parts fit for a lucky mate.

I liked the characters and the sex scenes were okay, but I felt the whole BDSM thing didn't fit in an alien setting. And, though I really wanted to like the story, unfortunately, I just couldn't get into the weird otter aliens.

I don't hate the story and I do think people will like it, but I just found it unoriginal and overdone.

Thank you to Ms. Moss for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

I won this book January 2023. For some reason, I never received it.

This January, I contacted the publisher, who was generous enough to send me another link.

Alas, I tried reading this book and simply cannot finish. I am presuming I liked the synopsis because I requested it, But, I simply did not care for the way the story-line was progressing.

There is nothing wrong with the writing or characters. It is just vampire erotica is not my cup of tea.

I was captivated from the start with Rafe, who was not human but a Fallen, and his sexy body had me drooling! He loved beating on demons, but the knew that he had to get to the woman that had his Val's followers in a tizzy about her power and he wanted it for himself, whatever it was. I felt sorry for Zoey as her parents never loved her and she was glad that her grandmother did. As she grew older, she was haunted by demons with every step that she made, nor did she understand a power that grew in her and can't control. In wish that this been had been longer and I'm excited to read the next!!!

I’m sorry I just couldn’t get into this one; the plot felt ridiculous and unbelievable. The relationship felt VERY rushed…they board the ship, argue for a bit, go to their rooms for an hour and then end of pleasuring her while they are sparring. It felt weird that we got to that place so fast! Maybe I missed some relationship build-up in previous books…And every subsequent challenge they had to face had to do with mating and sex.

Also, there were so many grammatical errors and misplaced words that I found it too distracting to keep me even mildly engaged in the story.

Amazing story line! Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through the book! I couldn't help but root for the main characters to fall in love with each other! The Spice scenes were amazing!!!

It was an entertaining and enjoyable introduction to a new human/alien romance series.

This is the first story in the Lost Brides and Alien Warriors series and seems to be loosely connected to Ms. Moss' Earth Brides & Alien Warriors series.

The characters were interesting and likable we have human women who are scattered and missing because of an attack on their ship an Rhonar warriors who are more than willing to look for them in hopes of finding their true mate and unlocking their emotions.

Fascinating story, I look forward to more of the series - there are many more Earth women to be found.

Thank-you to City Owl Press and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

In this 3rd book of Tina Moss' Earth Brides and Alien Warriors we follow Captain Jane Kadaran head of Earth's Moon Base and Commander 'Tor' Torian of the Rhonar on a mission to a distantplanet to retrieve a crystal to power a shield to protect earth from malevolent alien invaders. If this mission fails Earth won't negotiate with the Rhonar for a treaty that would include the possibility of finding mates with each other. Rhonar have no women and Earth has a 90% female population.

This can be read without reading the two previous books. The author gives us enough background to fill in enough of the backstory that you don't feel lost.

This is an insta-lust/love type story Jane and Tor met in a previous book and while she is drawn to him, he knows she is his fated mate but feels the need to deny himself until the mission and treaty negotiations are both successful for the moral of his fellow Rhonar. While traveling they run into some trouble but that only serves to help the learn more about each other and how to work together while deepening the bond they have.

The author delivers on her promise of steamy seduction, fated mates, and a happily-ever-after.

This is the first book in the fated mates, science fiction romance. The plot is interesting, funny, and sexy! It flows well and the action is fast paced. And the steamy situations fit in the plot so there is realism continuity. They are not inserted just to have the ‘right’ number sexy scenes. I definitely will read the next book in the series.

This is the second book in this series. It’s an action-packed, science fiction romance adventure. For a fated mates trope the characters and plot are well developed. I loved the characters and the steamy chemistry between them. The book keeps you engaged from start to finish.

I won this book twice, only received it once. I enjoy alien love stories because they take you away to new worlds. The author built a new world filled with scary beings and friendly characters.
The author is very descriptive when introducing you to each character so you can picture them. My favourites are the Florin and the Gyorpins, what I liked is the author gave you the pronunciation of some of the words so you didn’t have to guess.
Sage is an engineer who has low self-esteem and Brokdar is a Rhonar warrior who has lost his emotions and soon to go to the void. They meet in space when the Versaken attack. Brok saves Sage and they crash on a planet after going through a worm hole.
This was very fast paced which kept my interest till the end, a page turner that had you wondering what was going to happen next. I would recommend this book to everyone over 18 because it does get steamy at times.

Short book but I enjoyed it. Kind of out of my normal genre but it was good, and romansy, haha. I would recommend if you're looking for a fun light read!

This was a very quick read with the plot line seeming to be mostly filler for the overall arc of the series. Tor and Jane had such great chemistry and I love how well they work together. We meet new enemies and allies. I really liked the trials because they were spicy and well written. Great new worlds and entertaining characters. I can’t wait to read the next book! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.½

Received as a free ebook through Librarything.com. I couldn’t stop reading once started. Story has adventure, twists, and lots of steamy scenes. I will be on the look out for other books by this author.

This book was amazing! Had just the right amount of steamy but the author did amazing at not skimping on the plot! Can’t wait to see where she takes this series!

First, let me say that I was given an early reviewer copy of this in exchange for an honest review (through the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program).

Second, I'm feeling very meh about this book. I like that there wasn't as much angst between the two protagonists as in previous books in this series, but also it felt like there was more sex than story. It made me think of the last book in Piers Anthony's "Incarnations of Immortality" series, and not in a good way. I loved the first book in this series. Liked the second. And now I'm meh. Think I'm going to nope out of the rest of the series.½

This is the second book in the series and definitely more interesting than the first. It is hot and steamy and the first time I’ve encountered a BDSM/Dom Sub alien trope. The plot and story line is longer and reaches farther into the universe. We meet new friends as well as enemies, but I do feel some plot points are repetitive. I’m so glad that Brok gets his story, but Sage leaves much to be desired. I know that it gives more drama to a book, but I’m tired of main female characters being immature and impulsive. A good series so far though! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

A quick and steamy read. Interesting concept and very well done. Xelan and Ava have great chemistry but I feel like there were some points of the plot that were just left hanging or brushed over. Entertaining and a good take on the Alien mate trope. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

I received this from LibraryThing Early Reviewers. And it wasn't my cup of tea. First the book starts with an author's note referring readers to the author's website for content warnings. Go there and check before you read. This is not run of the mill romance. I didn't check because I didn't think I'd have a problem and I didn't really, but that content wasn't worth the read for me. (Although, checking the site now, it doesn't get into the specifics, so it wouldn't have warned me about this anyway.)

Because besides this not being my thing, please for the love of the fuzzy florin and gyorpin, somebody get this author a real editor. Just because spell check tells you that you spelled the word right, it doesn't mean that it's the right word. I read a review for the previous book in the series that said the editing was a problem and it hasn't been fixed for this one.

This book was so much fun. I really like this version of fated love and I really enjoyed the chemistry between Sage and Brok. I wish there's been a little more on Sage's mental process as she got used to the idea, like we got with the Earthling in the first book in the series, but it was still fun and sexy to read. Like a lot of City Owl Press books that I've read, this needed to be proofread better, but it's an ARC so I'm not fussed.

Now that I got that out of the way, let me say I really enjoyed this. This is the third book by Tina Moss that I've read and this one is definitely the best so far. Like a lot of City Owl Press books that I've read, this needed to be proofread better. And the heteronormative stuff was a bit off putting. However, I still really liked the story over all and am looking forward to reading Brok's story in January.

cw: on page torture/"punishment" of women½
