This book started off good for me but mid way through the protagonist got a bit too annoying and neurotic. Interesting premise though.½

OK, chick lit is my secret vice, and I admit I read it; I read a lot of it, and, yes: I like it. But this was seriously the dumbest book I ever read. It was completely nonsensical. McInnis paints herself into a little prose corner - apparently we're supposed to find the protagonist sympathetic, even though her boyfriend is SATAN. and then when she's heartbroken after he "dies", the happy ending is that she's PREGNANT. Sheri McInnis should go watch Rosemary's Baby, and then try to explain to Mia Farrow how this is a happy ending. My only excuse is that I read it as an advance reader I got for free when I worked at Borders.½
