A 1940's government agency doesn't want a conspiracy investigated.

It's better than the first season, with a good dose of fun and enjoyable supporting characters. The story is still not very good, though. This show would be much better served with an episodic approach.

A 1940's government agency doesn't trust their best agent.

I had really high expectations - Carter is probably my favorite character in the MCU. So maybe it's unfair how disappointing I found this show. There are one or two good episodes, but mostly it's just not nearly as much fun as it should have been. The story isn't any good. The world doesn't make any sense. What the hell is the SSR even supposed to be? Detectives? Researchers? Spies? They seem to exist for the sole purpose of pursuing Howard Stark - with authority, resources, and a public presence that changes drastically depending on what happens to be convenient for the writers at the moment.
