Courte biographie
Mary Jane Schultz was a writer since childhood. She was thrilled to sell her first young adult romance novel in 1986 as Mary Schultz. Since that time she has written a great number of books for both teenage and adult audiences. Under the pseudonym of Leandra Logan has enjoyed both success and fulfillment writing for Harlequin. Her books routinely make the B. Dalton and Waldenbooks lists. As well, she has been nominated for numerous awards within the industry.

A lifelong resident of Minnesota, she and her family recently moved to the historic town of Stillwater. She looks forward to strolling along the main street, and mingling with the artists and book lovers who frequent the area's quaint shops and eateries. But there are countless tasks to take care of around the new place—the biggest being the yard work! There are rocks to haul, dirt to grade, and seeds to sow! Optimistically, it will give her a lot of time to work out her plots.

rabck from Rhonder; Kelsey was blamed for a car crash prom night that killed the local politician's son and two friends. She wasn't charged, but left town due to all the whispers. Now her friend coaxes her back for a 10th anniversary reunion, an old flame is now the sheriff and the town is divided on her being back and possibly staying.

TWO & A HALF STARS--A menage book featuring M/F/M...but it really read more like M/F and a breathing sex toy. Zarah has a crappy boyfriend, she's dumped and is overweight. And dumpy. The dumpy's been dumped.

So dumpy moves into a new building and meets Jackson, then the sun shone a bit brighter for a few minutes for Jackson Masters. For Zarah not so much cause...she's dumpy and has been dumped. And has issues. So dumpy's issues dumps upon her self-esteem. I get it cause she's also plus-sized so she's going to have the standard set of issues a lot of authors seem to give BBW.

Oh and there's Lane Dundas(more like Lane REDUNDANT), Jack's best friend but he's not so important. We meet him briefly in the beginning of the book and Zarah's attracted to both him and Jack but Lane disappears after a weird day date and doesn't appear until more than half of the book to be the acute angle in this obtuse triangle. See my diagram below

You see Lane is Angle A in the diagram--he doesn't get much say in this triad relationship. The other two angles don't really matter at this point because they TAKE UP MOST OF THE ALLOTTED F-CKING TRIANGLE!

I'm not too much a fan of lopsided triangles...I like my triad menages to be equidistant or an equilateral triangle:

See everyone gets the equal share of the triangle, everyone is heard, no cause for friction.
(Sorry folks, had to speak geek for a bit.)

So scratching my head as to why is Lane even a part of this book cause I kind of didn't buy his role at all. The ending solidified my feeling's on Lane's role in the "menage" for me because Zarah and Jackson get married...I'm going to read the sequel just cause I'm curious as to where the author is going to go with this one."

The authors writing is ok... the story premise & plot are lacking.. but the way that Natalie was exposed to the BDSM lifestyle/environment in this club was NOT OK.
I find this was poor portrayal of the lifestyle
1) just a statement at the door that if you enter you agree to play...yeah right
2) she had numerous drinks at the bar, and should not have been allow to play - at one point Natalie even asks if something had been put in her drinks
3) she was taken without her consent
4) no explanation of what was going on or what was to happen to her
5) no training or easing her into the life style
6) no safe word, or any method provide for her to stop the play and be released - not even a discussion of it
7) no knowledge of who the man is - how in the hell can that build trust - if this was a pre-arranged captive fantasy it could work
8) no say in what will happen to her or even if she likes what he might do to her
9) no condom used
10) no idea if Natalie is on any birth control - as Max doesn't even ask
11) Natalie asks to be let go at least 3 times - not with fear or conviction but the request is ignored
12) story line really isn't- very little plot
13) book tied together with just sex scenes
14) no connection between the characters - other than lust especially on Max's part
15) no character development - but in 59 pages thats hard to do

thank goodness this was a short read and a freebie - not much to call this a good read for me, a few explicit sex scenes just doesn't make a good book.
There are so many better reads in the romantic, erotic, BDSM, genre available
