Morgan continues to learn more about her powers and is determined to help Amar the werewolf escape the control that the local witches can exert over him. She's also trying to stop local witches from stealing from her.

Morgan is in the middle of a midlife crisis - newly divorced, newly unemployed, and newly the owner of her late grandmother's home. Toss in the unexpected supernatural werewolf pack and things are a bit crazy. Morgan is just trying to keep her head and figure out what exactly is going on - including discovering that she has witch powers and there is a battle going on between the witches and the werewolves in her new town - and no one wants her to sell the property.

Arwen discovered that her tattoo has the unfortunate side effect of making her vulnerable to control so she is determined to have it removed. Chaos ensues as the dark elves are determined that she keep the thing and are willing to kill to make that happen. Also there is an on going deepening of the relationship Arwen has with her half dragon - and her attempts to help keep him safe from the full dragons who would like to see him dead.

Arwen is awkward and self conscious about the fact that she is half "Dark Elf" which makes her hated by just about everyone else in the fantastical world. She has worked hard to show that she is good and not evil - but her mother and dark elves in general are not so willing to let her go. Arwen gets mixed up with a half dragon and they eventually become reluctant partners to bring down the local dark elf lair. I quite like Arwen and found her very appealing as a character.
