A fast-paced enjoyable thriller

Another great book in the D I Matt Barnes series. Lots of action and all delivered at a pace that allows the reader to enjoy the complexities of the storyline. Here Matt Barnes is chasing two different types of murderer. One who was murdering housekeepers and their employers of wealthy elderly people and the other was a serial rapist who also murdered the females he raped. A great story and I shall look forward to the next Matt Barnes book.

This is the third book in the Matt Barnes series and again found the detective inspector deeply engaged in tracking down a homicidal maniac who had a very unpleasant need to keep killing women in order to stop his dead mother haunting his mind. As usual this was a fast paced exciting book but did tend to follow the same process as the previous two stories. Michael Kerr needs to be careful not to overplay the format of this type of story.

Another superb second book in the Joe Logan series that kept me on the edge of my seat for all of the time I was reading the book. It is fast paced and well written. Joe Logan is a lone vigilante type ex-cop who gets involved in solving a murder of a young girl. Brilliant story and I can't wait for another Joe Logan adventure.
