A nicely-produced introduction to Bruce Rogers and his work at the Riverside Press, with a handy checklist and a series of representative illustrations.

Compliments as always, to Godine, who did a nice job with this one. Godine always does a nice job. Should begin by saying that I dove into book collecting because of the work that came out of the Bibliophile Society. When I made a connection between the Society, their publisher, Riverside Press, and Bruce Rogers, who worked for Riverside at the time that the Society was publishing. Made me wonder if there was any connection between the Bibliophile Society and Bruce Rogers. This volume does not contain any mention of the Society. Should mention that the yearbooks of the Society also do not mention Bruce Rogers. I find myself asking, did Rogers seek out Riverside because of their excellent work on the Society publications? This is a fine book, anyway. Very nice.
