Honestly, how can you NOT like Pluto?
Aside from keeping an eye on the further reaches of our solar system, and surviving the it's-a-planet-it's-not-a-planet debate with flying colors...it has a stinkin' heart for all to see! Again, how can you NOT love it?

This book reinforces that love with flying colors and a bit of actual space history type info to boot! We get to go along with New Horizons as it makes its NINE YEAR mission to the outer reaches of our own place in space, chronicling its journey in kid-friendly fashion so that not only are the eyes delighted and the mind engaged, but the heart follows suit. It's a great new addition to any library, personal, school or otherwise, and a creative way to introduce wee ones to the worlds and wonders beyond our own planet! Who knows? The next mission to the great beyond explorer may be in your midst! Take heed and share this little wonder!

The story of the New Horizons mission, told in a form accessible to young children (I'd say ages 3 to 6). The text is very simple and spare, especially in the beginning, making it a good read-aloud book for children just developing language. On most pages there are tiny bits of "spoken" words from the New Horizons spacecraft itself, which would be fun to do in different voices, or to ask a new reader to read aloud. The page on New Horizons' launch makes you tip the book sideways to see the whole rocket. It's heart-meltingly cute and perfect for in-the-lap reading together.… (plus d'informations)

I am... oh my... I think that I am too innocent for this. I loved everything...up until the pony play started. That just had my mind reeling and screaming "WTF?????".
I will read the next one, because I really want to know what happens...but I think that this kink may just be a bit too much for me!
