Rather than a book for beginners, this a an overview of the PhotoShop work environment. It lists the tools and tells you what to expect from some of the more common ones. It tells you where to find such features as layers, although the term is not really described. It's a good book for what it does, and can be used to provide an example of what can be expected of other photo-processing programs as well. it was worth reading even though I use another photo program.
