I love books like this. Not only do you get a peek inside one person, you get to explore another time, place,and culture in a way that history textbooks will never match.

The Walk West par Peter Jenkins

This meandering chronicle is the second half of Peter Jenkin's trip across America, and is the follow-up to the more successful A Walk Across America. He is also joined by his new wife, Barbara. The first book was about a man searching for answers about himself and his country. This one is more about finishing the hike—not nearly as compelling.

The Road Unseen par Peter; Jenkins Jenkins, Barbara

He wrote this journal of his journey of faith during his walks. Not as good as I would have hoped. I really enjoyed his other books and kind of expected more.
