Very mysterious and action-packed, this was a great take on the classic werewolf tale! When Rose moves to a new town, things seem great with her being the center of attention but the spotlight isn’t always a good thing. She’s become the target of things supernatural and unsettling and must battle the demons within her own mind to find her way out.

I love the psychological aspect of this story as well as the thriller elements. I found the characters believable and the dialogue was great too. It gives a good look into the mind of teenagers going through a difficult time. Fantastic story!

Barking Madness is an enjoyable tale that, unfortunately, doesn't start off that way. In the beginning, I thought only somewhat negative things about the writing from the dry dialogue, lack of connection to the characters, and unrealistic scenarios. All of this lasted for a majority of the book until I hit the halfway mark. The dialogue seemed forced (as I said, dry), and Rosetta pissed me off beyond belief enough for me to just want to throw my Kindle out of the window out of anger. There were a lot of scenes that made my eyes roll so far back into my head that I thought I'd be stuck like that (this was all in Rosetta's perspective).

I didn't like Rosetta because she was the *ahem* c-word. It appears that she suffers from a multi-personality disorder even before things start coming to light. I don't even know where to begin with this book. I guess we should start with the book itself...I found this book to be very stiff. If you've never read a stiff book, then you probably don't know what I'm talking about. A stiff book is one that doesn't really flow properly. Instead of envisioning smooth characters, you see boxy and awkward beings. You could compare it to the first and thirteenth seasons of Family Guy (for example), the first season doesn't look so bad upon first glance, but when you put season one and season 13 beside each other, you realize that season one is really rough looking... It loosens up around 30%, but around 35 the awkward, stiff dialogue and forced story-line make a return. The concept behind the book was good, I mean, who doesn't like a demented monster wold running around in their head?? And that one little twist that confuses you, as well as Madison.
Onto the characters; I have a strong.....
