Matthew Franchetti

Matthew Franchetti is an Associate Professor of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering and the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Mechanical Engineering Program al the University of Toledo in Ohio. He is the Director of the Environmentally Conscious Design and Manufacturing afficher plus Laboratory and the Principal Investigator for the Business Waste Reduction Assistance Program, a joint effort with local government A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a professionally licensed engineer, he has helped numerous companies reap the benefits of sustainable practices. Behtn Elahi is an industrial engineering scholar and collaborates with Dr. Franchetti on the Business Waste Reduction Assistance Program. Her research interests include green supply chain, operation research, quality control, and mathematical programming. She has published numerous conference and journal papers. Somik Chose is a civil and industrial engineering scholar and works at the Center for Innovative Food Technology/Edison Industrial Systems Center, an Ohio Manufacturing Excellence Partnership center.
