If we all sat back and truly examined our lives, we would certainly be able to understand what the author is referring to in this book. Though a lot of what is said in the book is common sense, not too many people step back and analyze their own lives. This book gives people the tools to easily do just that; all we have to do is follow through with the steps.

I just finished this book, and guess what? I loved it! Self-help books are not my favorite genre, so the only way I would read one is to receive an ARC (Advance Reader's Copy), which I did of this book.
Each word in the title has its own section, and each section is broken down into short chapters explaining each "lesson". Remember to have a blank piece of paper and a pencil by your side per the author's instruction, as you will need them.
I highly recommend this one to anyone with an open mind that wants to change the inside self that is not too good, into something that is much better. Five Stars… (plus d'informations)

David Fox has been there, suffering with depression and other difficulties in life until he took charge. He shares with us some of his secrets for “living a magnificent life” but they aren’t really secrets. He reminds us of commonsense applications of daily living, ones we forget in the frantic pace of life and all of its disappointments. The book is divided into the three main sections of the title, with short chapters outlining one main concept per chapter. Outstanding chapters include choosing excellence, forgiveness, making peace with yourself, and acting the part you want to play. I was especially intrigued by the chapter “Two words you should always remember never to use.” (And I will leave you to read the book and discover the identity of those 2 words.) In each chapter there are techniques for solving the problem presented, including journaling and refocusing direction.

Although I read the book cover to cover, the best use after familiarizing yourself with the book is to read a chapter a day in any order. Repetition helps to reinforce the principles presented. If you are having a certain difficulty, read the chapter that pertains to your problem. I plan to keep this book close by and do exactly that.

I hope that Dr. Fox will share more of his hints for successful living with us in future publications.

Note: I received this book as a free review copy. This is a very nice little book that contains good advice. For those who have already read heavily in this genre the advice will be very familiar: use positive affirmations, don't beat yourself up over past mistakes, take time for enjoyment, etc. Still, it works well as a kind of "handbook" for beginners, to help you retrain your brain to focus on the positive. There are a few writing exercises to try as well. The only reason I took off half a star was that many of the chapters were very short and could have used elaboration; in some cases I was looking for concrete examples to better illustrate his advice.… (plus d'informations)
