Courte biographie
Baptized by M. Lynwood Smith around 1943. He began preaching in 1950 and continued doing so for 69 years. A native of Ardmore, he has worked with congregations from coast to coast in his years of ministry and traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Honduras preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

He graduated from Ardmore High School, 1949; Attended Tarrant County Junior College, 1968-72, UT at Arlington, TX,1972-73, Graduated from SOSU, Durant, OK 1975 where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with a minor in Music.

He attended and graduated from Stamps – Baxter School of Music in Dallas, Texas. Attended Stamps Quartet Singing Normals, 1946, 47, 63. Dale Carnegie Training from C.I. Blackwood of Blackwood College, 1954.

In 1995, he founded and owned “Pathway Books and Bibles.” He was a contributor and editor of “The Old Paths Advocate”. He appeared on many episodes of “Let the Bible Speak” broadcast in Oklahoma and Missouri over the years. Johnny was a published song writer as well as a conductor and producer of albums for the Gospel Lamplighters and the Sunny South Quartet. He was also a member of the Sunny South Quartet with Charles Goodgion as (1st Tenor), Bobby Studer (2nd Tenor), Johnny Elmore (Baritone), J. Wayne McKamie (Bass).
