The drawings are stark black and white, no shadowing, not always finely detailed, but perfectly done to portray everything that needs portraying. The text was nothing special for me, I've read his autobio and this essentially serves as a very condensed version of it, but the art adds the detail that bolsters the text.

I'm probably being a little harsh in only giving 3 stars, as I don't see anything bad about the book, but my reviews are naturally subjective, and knowing his autobiography as well as I do, this just felt a little flat to me. But for anyone who enjoys graphic novels, especially if not having read much about him, this ought to be a good pick.… (plus d'informations)

Lively" isn't the word for the illustrations - they're even more than that. The story seems thin and superficial, though. Maybe 2.5 stars."

This book is all about the magic of a moon ring that a little girl finds as one night it drops from the sky. The moon ring has magical powers to grant wishes to the little girl and every time she says, " I wish," that wish comes true and she is transported to wherever she wishes. This book is all about imagination and the places you could go if you all of your wishes came true. It is an example of a modern fantasy book.

Modern Fantasy: In the book the little girl finds a ring that fell from the full moon. The ring had special powers it granted some wishes. The little girl wished she was in Africa on a giraffes and the ring took her there. This is a good book to get students to use their imaginations.
