An impressive and comprehensive piece of research that exposes long term issues in the Church related to celibacy, pedophilia, and pederasty. The 200 year pattern of ignoring the issue, and covering it up, is traced to a desire to keep the clergy at a level above the flock. That by dint of their supposed ability to be celibate, they are closer to God. Perhaps that was obvious to others. Not to me. A sad, tragic, eye opening read that demonstrates the danger of people claiming to speak for God.
