It was fairly straight forward. I was not overly surprised at the ending but it still held my attention and kept me reading. Overall a well written book.

My original review accidentally got deleted.
I got this book though early reviewer.
I enjoyed it. I liked some stories more than others. None of the stories are all that scary, but a lot introduced interesting stories and concepts.

This is a historical fiction that focuses on the World War I era. I found it to be a really patriotic coming of age story. The story focuses around selkies which is a nice spin on the traditional mermaid stories that are often in these stories. Overall, the story was enjoyable and I found the characters to be relatable -- aside from the selkies, as I am not a selkie.
