Avery meets Jesse when she moves to a seaside town. After swearing off men after her husband betrayed her, she nevertheless meets a good man in no time, thanks to the encouragement of her new room mate, Jodie. This is a quiet novel, with its soul firmly buried in romance - because Jessie is a bit of a dreamboat, and a man who is also recovering from a bad breakup.½

Cash Creed is a Texas lawyer who ends up in Ocean City to attend a funeral. Even though he has no intention of staying, he agrees to spend the summer there to help out with a family business. During a night out he meets a woman named Sage Everling. Neither one is looking for a series relationship, so they agree to spend time together with no strings attached. However, the chemistry between the two with put them on a path neither one of them expected.
This is a well written story. If you like romance that isn't heavy with sexual content then you will enjoy this book.

Lone Hearts is a fun, fast-paced romance between two players who meet their match. I found both Sage and Cash were strong, likeable characters that you want to succeed however, they are self-acknowledged players so to enjoy this book you need to be okay with what that entails for the storyline. Overall, I found it to be a really enjoyable, easy read.

This is an honest and voluntary review based on a complementary copy I received of this book.

The No Brides Club series proves there is strength in numbers. This bond of sisterhood plays many roles within the lives of six strong women searching for a soft place to fall in the heartbreaking moments and a source of strength to help them keep the faith during times of doubt. No Time for Promises is one woman's quest to never give on her dreams. Rachel thought she knew what she wanted until love got in the way. Will she follow her dreams or listen to her heart? Detweiler takes readers on a tale of self-discovery that culminates in an introspective and emotionally challenging ride.

Cute story. Most love stories are about a couple and watching their love grow. This was so different and refreshing since the couple broke up at the beginning of the book and had to learn to live without each other before finding their way back to one another. Some parts were a little slow but it was nice getting to really know the characters and be part of their lives.

I wanted to like this, I really did. Lila and Luke were very sweet. It just ... felt a little too meandering? I was intensely frustrated by the pacing and by the fact that their problem seemed to mainly be about communication.

I did not care for the overall story and it was really slow. Light--almost non-existing--humor, mainly Lila's grandmother was the only funny person. The story is about Lila and Luke, alternating pov between the two, splitting up and trying to date others only to realize they miss each other. It took quite a while to learn why they split to begin with, and after I found out I kept thinking, "Why didn't you guys talk more and try and figure things out before doing the drastic split?!"

This is a sweet book about two people who break up but don’t stop loving each other. Luke and Lila are great characters and this book is worth getting to know them.

This was the first book I have read by this author and it will not be the last. I really enjoyed this book. It had a great story line and characters and I did not want the book to end. If you are looking for a good pull at the strings of your heart romance, I highly suggest this one.½

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. This does not influence my opinion in any shape or form.

Before I even start this review, can we please talk about this cover? I mean look at it! It's absolutely beautiful and I seriously cannot wait for the day that I can both of Lindsay Detweiler's books on my shelves.

There is something beautiful, haunting, gut wrenching and truthful about the way Lindsay writes. It is one of the many reasons I wanted to read this book; I loved Voice of Innocence, which I'm sure you have figured out if you've seen my blog. I rave about it any chance I get. So to say that I was absolutely looking forward Without You was an understatement. I knew that her second book would be just as amazing as her first and I was right.

Without You is a story of four people, Jenna, Violet, Camden and Liam. Jenna and Camden have been together for a while and were once madly in love and passionate but suddenly the honeymoon staged kicked in and things got well comfortable. It leaves Jenna wondering if there is something more out there. Violet and Liam were madly in love but dreams and different career goals were a deciding factor. One that left the other wondering if they should stay together and risk feeling resentment towards the other for never pursuing those dreams. To be honest, it was an honest portrayal of a relationship.

Lindsay honestly showed us what a real relationship looks like and not the kind we are so use to seeing with the sunshine and butterflies and petty fights over misunderstandings. This was the real deal. This was what an honest and real relationship. It pretty ugly and it was pretty hurtful and sometimes hard to understand but it was real.

What interested me the most of the story was how these four people were connected. I couldn't wait to see how these characters were going to be connected and how this was going to play out. I was really curious and I kept turning the page trying to find out what was going on.

In the end, I was pretty content with how the story played out. I thought it was realistic and that I loved most. There were some things I would have liked for example: Liam and Camden's point of view of the story. I kind of wanted more of Liam and Violet's relationship. But those are just minor details in the story. Everything else I enjoyed. The writing was good.

Should you read this? Yes! A million times yes.
