The story itself wasn't too bad - although the 'intrigue' part was weak and the way the couple fell ridiculously fast for each other didn't convince me - and worth 2,5 stars, but I had to lower the rating because of the purple prose sex scenes. They made me laugh out loud and soon I started skipping them. Others may like this author's style, but I was glad it was a free read.

Dede is looking for a threesome so she can put the experience in her book. She finds it in Kevin and Vince. Afraid she may fall for them she quickly and quietly leaves them. Kevin and Vince want her back. Miserable without them, Dede decides to find two more men but she learns she only wants them. What is she to do? Will they take her back?

I enjoyed Naked Research. It's funny. It's sexy. I love Dede's mouth. She comes out with some of the wildest talk. I loved it. Nothing gets by her and she has an opinion on everything. I loved her. She is a great heroine. I liked Kevin and Vince. I liked their persistence. I loved their deli owners, Gerta and Saul. They are the best secondary characters I have met.

Naked Research is humor used right in a romance. Totally delightful and fun!

Sera is to meet her husband Marc for dinner with his best friend Jack. Going into the restaurant she runs into her ex-husband also named Jack. Could that be the friend? After their meal and going to a strip club together the three of them return home and have a three-way. Sera is so turned on by it that when it is over and she is no longer under the thrall of it, she has problems. Marc does what he can but nothing seems to work for long. What can he do to make Sera happy again?

I liked Sera and Marc. They are good together. I liked the sex between them and with Jack. I loved that Sera got her way to go to the strip club. She even had a lap dance with Marla, their waitress. I could understand Sera's depression when her high from the threesome bottomed out. Marc's solution worked. Where the story felt flat was when Sera was down and not feeling sexual was that no thought was made to bring Marla into their bed. I would have liked to see Marc, Sera, and Marla together as well as bringing Jack in for a foursome.

I did enjoy the story. The sex was hot. It was a fun read

Brenda discovers her husband cheating on her at their wedding. She leaves him and runs to her friend Jasmine. Jasmine relocates her to Gabe and Ted's ranch where she becomes Gabe's mother's assistant. While working there she is attracted to Billy Joe Watkins and his friend Sal Rivas. Brenda is not looking for a relationship, especially one like Jasmine's but it seems her heart is not paying attention to her head. As she falls for these two men, her husband wants her back. Will she take him back or will she follow her heart?

I liked Brenda. Her husband is garbage. My biggest complaint here is why Jasmine did not try to talk to her before the wedding about her dislike for the groom. But Brenda probably would not have listened. I liked how Brenda was not looking for a new love or relationship. It found her. Billy Joe and Sal were good men. They followed the cowboy way and protected the lady of their heart.

Sharing Brenda picks up where Jasmine's Urban Cowboys left off. I liked how the series continues but is still a standalone. Gabe's mama also surprises us as she looks for love. This is a good sequel

Jasmine has gone through a bad divorce and now it is final. She goes out to celebrate and finds two studs waiting for her. Turns out Gabe and Ted are nephew and uncle. As they get to know one another better, Jasmine has a proposition for them. One romances her during the week while the other can romance her while she is working on their ranch for Gabe's mother. She is to decide which one to choose. Will she be able to decide?

I enjoyed watching Jasmine, Gabe, and Ted. Both men do their best to win Jasmine's heart but she has a hard time choosing which one. I like that they were able to come to an agreement as to how to solve the problem. I also liked the support Gabe's mother gave them. But she is also an unusual woman.

This is a fun, quick hot read. I loved their creativity and the love they shared.

Valerie becomes a fancy lady when her husband dies. Duke comes into the bar where she plies her trade as he is on a secret mission for the Confederacy. Duke buys her for the night then decides he wants her longer. She decides she wants him also. She goes with him and lives with him and his brothers as they wait to complete their mission. When it looks as though Duke's mission has failed and he fails to return to Valerie she goes to find him.

I liked Duke and Valerie. I liked that Duke did all in his power to save his brother even if it meant sharing Valerie with him when he is injured. I loved that Mark Twain is in the story and vies for Valerie. The humor is fun. I would have liked to see how Duke and his brothers shared Valerie and how other women fit into the family when the time came. I liked how it came full circle in the ending.

A quick, fun reading that will help you escape reality.

EEK I'm a Woman is an adult version of FREAKY FRIDAY. Instead of mother and daughter, it is male and female. I loved the humor of the switch and how fun it was as the discovered how the opposite sex felt when they did whichever sexual activity to the other. It gives a unique perspective on what is thought and felt by men and women. Ginger and Brad are among my favorite couples as they discover how to live as a member of the opposite sex. I loved Madame Soriano and Susan Carpenter and the way they are involved with Ginger and Brad. I hoped that Brad would get what he wanted by the end of the book.

Milton Grimes as the villain is nasty. I felt something was not right with him when he gives Brad his promotion and allows Ginger to be hired as Brad's secretary. What happens with him was not what I expected but it leads to a lot of action in the story.

EEK, I'm a Woman is a fun read. Well worth the time.

I was intrigued by the name of this book, EEK! I'm a Woman. This story has such an interesting storyline. I have to say that once I had a chance to sit down and read this book I finished it in one setting. I was completely intrigued to see what was going to happen next. There were so many twist and turns that I was anxiously anticipating each new twist.

All the characters involved were so interesting. I enjoyed Brad and Ginger story. I have to say I was completely entertained by the story line. Brad and Ginger switch bodies. However they have a good time exploring their new bodies. There are some REALLY hot, hot scenes between these two. Not only is this a REALLY hot story but there is some mystery included, it involves a few people that I certainly did not see coming.

I enjoyed the relationship between Ginger, Brad, & Ginger's best friend Amber. Amber adds some nice content to the storyline as well. She truly is a REAL best friend.

On the whole I really enjoyed this story. I don't want to give you to many details because that's part of the fun of reading the story for yourself. There is a lot going on in this story and I was completely absorbed all the way through. There was plenty of really hot scenes and drama that kept me flipping pages quite quickly.

This is the first time I have read any of Dee Dawning's work but I would be interested in reading more.

I received a copy of this book to read in exchange for sharing my thoughts with you.

Blind Date is another quick and fun read. From the very first encounter between Kelly and Phillip it was obvious that their connection was far more that physical. It was truly love at first sight. It was refreshing that Kelly’s character is an accomplished business woman despite her financial setback. Another admirable quality about Kelly is that despite her reservation about dating outside her ethnicity, she was not so against the idea that she allowed a good man to slip away. Kelly recognized Phillip was special and her life becomes richer for being open-minded. I also enjoy the way Phillip simply worshipped her. He is unafraid to express his feelings, which is not always the case with males. The love scenes are quite graphic and very titillating. Blind Date has all the ingredients for a great quiet time read; a strong plot, great characters, entertaining loves scenes, and very satisfying ending.

Kelly Michaels is aghast when her best friend and business partner, Ty, sets her up on a blind date. As if going on a blind date isn’t bad enough, Ty forgets to tell Kelly that Phillip Trevor Gordon is Caucasian. A speechless Kelly is even more surprised that despite Phillips ethnicity, she finds him very attractive. Phillip has never dated a Black woman before but Kelly has affected him like no other woman; Black or White. She is beautiful, accomplished and in record time has stolen his heart. It seems the most natural thing when Phillip decides to move into the extra bedroom in Kelly’s apartment to help with the rent. Unbeknownst to either of them, Kelly has a deranged admirer who has been peering into her bedroom window. Phillip’s move into her apartment angers the stalker who finally makes his presence known by breaking into their apartment to perform lewd acts on Kelly’s intimate items. An astonished Phillip is shocked to discover the intruder in their home. This Blind Date has a very satisfying ending.

This wasn't badly written but the subject matter and the way that the ending is just hanging there waiting for the next book didn't do anything for me. Characters were a bit flat and predictable.

Thrust into her life one night by peculiar circumstances, Loretta Bishop, seventeen years Bobby's senior, has been tasked with taking the shy, modest pretty boy under her wing and turning him into a lady's man. Free spirited and sexually adventurous, Loretta is eminently qualified to teach him the elements of pursuit, seduction, and how to please women.

At first, being with Bobby seems like a dream, but clouds begin to gather from Loretta's spotty and sometime sordid past. Feeling guilt after Bobby asks to marry her, Loretta is no longer able to continue and runs away.

Now, it's up to Bobby to put the methods Loretta has taught him to practical use. Will he succeed and parlay his new talents into love, wealth, and power?

This book isn't just an erotic romance book but also a very good romance book. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few sex scenes scattered throughout the book and they are just hot. Dee Dawning definitely knows how to write an "arousing" sex scene.

But this book isn't just an erotic romp. It tells us about finding love and losing it again. There are very funny scenes but also very sad scenes, too. It features a really good story about having love right in front of your eyes, but not being able to recognize it until it's nearly to late. In addition to that Dee Dawning has created a set of amazing characters. You can't help but feel for them throughout their emotional journeys. And what I especially love about those characters is the fact that they come from different social backgrounds and vary in age.

So why no 5-star rating? I found the construction of the story quite difficult to read. The story is told from the first-person-perspective of various characters and the timeline of the story is scattered with flashback scenes. At least I had to read whole paragraphs twice to get which character was speaking now and to where in the story we jumped.

Altogether this is a very good romance story with an amazing plot and terrific characters. Just don't think about it as a quick and easy read.

Danny Williams is pleasantly surprised when one Friday night, Sarah, his comely wife, proposes a game to engender fresh excitement into their flagging sex life.

Handing Danny a copy of the erotic Lascivious Liaisons by Madame X, she suggests they re-enact a sex scene from the book once a week. After acting out the first scene for a heated night of sex, skeptical Danny is convinced and looking forward to the next 'By the Book' night.

However, unknown to Danny, Sarah has a plan within a plan. After several 'By the Book' nights, things start to unravel and events swing beyond Danny's control, ultimately changing their lives...forever.

As this is a rather short book, the story naturally is pretty straightforward. At least this seems to be the case in the first half of the book. The first chapters are a very enjoyable erotic romp with Danny and Sarah re-enacting sex scenes from the erotic Lascivious Liaisons by Madame X in order to spice up their sex life. And those scenes are very, very steamy, naughty and, let me say, creative.

But even though Danny and Sarah are two very lively and also funny characters, I was pretty much convinced after the first few chapters that "By the Book" is simply a PWP (porn without plot). But I judged to early. After the first chapters of happily shagging around according to the instructions of the erotic book, there is a suprising turn of events which brought the plot to the foreground.

Altogether "By the Book" is a very good and enjoyable read, which features some of the hottest sex scenes I've read so far. And it's also fun to read this book just to see how many synonyms the author was able to find for the word for the male anatomy. I especially like "projectile". ;)
