Not much new information in the first half, and feels a bit revisionist (compare his self-portrayal here with what was captured in the documentary "Starshaped": he goes from bashing P.J. Harvey there to being a champion of women in rock here). Also a fair bit of self-mythologizing. Second half is much better, but I wish he had included an introduction where he describes Young's contributions to the memoir: in a book this personal, where the voice of the author is itself the subject of the book, one wants to know how much of that voice is authentically the author's, and how much is that of the ghost-writer.

This memoir will inevitably be compared with Alex James's, and the James memoir is probably the better of the two, though Blur fans will surely want to read them both.… (plus d'informations)
