This is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning more about the various breeds of dogs recognized by the American Kennel Club
Great photos and kid friendly descriptions of a wide variety of breeds.
A good standard reference for most of the recognized breeds. Not an immensely detailed volume in terms of the individual breeds but does contain all of the essentials. Illustrations are adequate.
The Complete Dog Book for Kids is a perfect piece or all dog lovers alike. It is filled with information and advice on buying a dog, the responsibilities and rewards that are included when having a dog. Over 100 breeds of dogs are profiled which includes, their appearances, history, health, and facts about nutrition and taking care of them. This book would be nice piece to have in a classroom or school library. Children that are dog lovers or are doing research on dogs will struggle to put it down! Although this is not the only guide one should consider when looking for the right dog, it gives kids helpful information about owning and taking care of them.… (plus d'informations)
