I loved the premise of this novel. Children are disappearing and the main connection is that they all bullied Tommy. Tommy's best friend, Howie, doesn't think Tommy is responsible. Instead he thinks the culprit is something close to Tommy, Tommy's stuffed teddy bear Quint. A sentient toy on a killing spree has echoes of Chucky in Child's Play and I love it.

This also reads like a coming of age story, a la Stephen King. There is a lot of description and frankly too much time before Quint becomes a suspect and the real action starts. The "twist" at the end wasn't that twisty. I did like that the story was well written and kept my interest. I wanted to see what was going to happen.

The epilogue of the book sets you up for a sequel. I hope that the book is written, because I would like to read more of the story.
