I have great respect for Edgar Cayce and the information he channelled in trance from the Akashic Records, or wherever it was he got it from. I know he helped many people.

I did not of course read this book, which contained innumerable excerpts from Cayce´s readings, from beginning to end, but consulted the various readings about diabetes, MS and scleroderma .In the excerpts about MS he advised such patients to eat sea foods, I know that eating these used to be beneficial, but nowadays unfortunately the oceans of the world are severely polluted by radiation following the nuclear plant accident in Japan, so eating sea fish is inadvisable. This is not Cayce´s fault, of course.

I found no useful advice for diabetes or scleroderma sufferers.

Of course, the recommendations given by Cayce were directed to specific individuals, not sufferers from a particular disease.

What surprised me in some of the readings was that in some cases alcohol, including strong alcohol, was recommended. Coca Cola was prescribed in some cases. Personally, I would never touch the stuff, it being full of sugar or, what is worse, Aspartame. Once when in a hut with no water I drank a little of my daughter´s Coca Cola and my stomach was in disorder for a week. Perhaps the composition of Coca Cola was different and less harmful in Cayce´s day.

Regarding sugar, though generally Cayce advises against its consumption, he does not entirely ban it. If sugar is to be consumed, Cayce recommends “beet sugars” in preference to “cane sugars”. I confess I am ignorant was to whether we can obtain beet sugars these days.

As a whole; I did not find anything useful in this book, though the person who suggested that I read the book himself reads in it regularly and has found many recommendations he felt corresponded to modern health precepts. Also, the language is old-fashioned and seemed a bit strange to me, though it was completely understandable.
