The book format is a board book, though I read this as an ebook. I have never read a book that addresses this type of diversity, especially for young children. I like the uniqueness of the format and the way it celebrates differences.

Curricular connections: could be used with older children in a unit on cultural design and self-expression, which includes clothing, body art, tattoos, etc (grade 4). Since it is also a counting book, it can easily be used with preschool children as a counting book.… (plus d'informations)
