BB Blaque has done it again with her 5th book Chemicals and Hormones from her Royal Bastards MC: NYC Chapter series. BB Blaque is the only author I've ever read that has a character I know I'm supposed to hate, I mean any woman really but just like the women in the book but I can't. BB and this series just draw me in unlike any I've known. And if you've read any book in this series you know I'm talking about The Bishop, his Excellency.
The last book left us off with Calico having to be saved by Bishop and his brothers in Florida when his son took her. At the end of that book, The Bishop decided to make her his Ol' Lady and now it's Christmas. The Bishop is someone you want to hate but can't. He's a rapist, a sadist, and can absolutely feel no emotions or so he thinks. And Calico is a woman who has been through so much. She is The Bishop's slave, yes they live in a world of BDSM 24/7, and you would think by her being a slave she's weak and just follows orders. But Calico is one of the strongest women I've ever read about. Her inner strength shines so bright, considering everything she's gone through in her life. For Christmas Bishop wants to learn how to show that he loves Calico even if he can't feel it. He blames love on chemicals and hormones and he knows they don't stay around forever so what happens when they wear off? He seeks out help from a psychiatrist and Tana happens to also be in the BDSM world as a sub and falls quickly under his spell. What the Bishop doesn't know is that Tana is in trouble with the Bloody Scorpions MC and is feeding them information. The Bloody Scorpions want Brooklyn for themselves and the Bastards gone but who are they working with that wants The Bishop? After confessing all his truths to Calico for Christmas it all comes to a head at his annual New Year's Eve Masquerade ball. Who is after Bishop and what do they want? Is Sage really happy to hand over Calico to The Bishop and bow out gracefully?
I gave this book a 4-star rating and enjoyed it so much. Parts of it were hard to read and this book does have a lot of triggers that might affect some people. And I gave it a 5 spicy rating. The book is so steamy I haven't been able to look roses the same since I started the series. This book takes place in a BDSM world that meets the MC world. It's different than the other chapters in the Royal Bastards series. I recommend this book to anyone who likes BDSM or MC series but I warn it's not for the faintest of hearts. BB Blaque I commend you for writing a character that should be hated by the world but is respected among the best. I can't wait to see where this series goes especially with talk of crossing over another MC and The Bishop finally being an official Royal Bastard.

Before you start to read this book, make sure that you have read the warnings on it. The book is pretty dark. Even for B. B. Blaque, it's pretty dark.

If you are familiar with her stories, then you know Bishop and Kash. You know their stories, how their lives intersect and then how they come back together again. But, what if, at that very first meeting, things had gone quite differently? What if, instead of leaving and going into the Marines, Bishop went on a ride with Kash? What if Kash went along with Bishop on his mission with Mrs. Diamond? How can one little decision, a yes instead of a no, change not just Kash's and Bishop's lives, but the lives of everyone they've touched?

Imagining what if can be a lot of fun sometimes, but when B. B. Blaque does it, you get Twisted.

OMG, I can't tell you how much I loved this book. It is deliciously dark and Twisted is definitely the right name for it. It's a total mindf***, and I really love that. Blaque's books are generally really dark anyway, but this one is somewhere near black hole dark. If you didn't like Bishop or Kash at any point before, you probably won't like them after this book. I do like them both, and this other side of them, before they learn to tame their beasts and turn them toward less destructive directions, is just fascinating. If you like dark and twisted as a corkscrew, then go for it.

OMG, B. B. Blaque has done my head in. I was warned that this is blacker than black and darker than dark. It is. It may even possibly be darker than that. When I finished reading the book, I wondered what the #*&@($& she had just done to me. My brain couldn't wrap itself around this book. The characters lived in my head for days and days. I even cried at times while I was reading. It is an adventure to read, and if you don't strap yourself in, then you will be thrown off the roller coaster.

Anything I could tell you about this book would ruin that ride for you, so all I can tell you is that you need to get it and read it yourself.

His Excellency, Jordan Bishop has gone from Monster to Master. He spent years hunting for women, and then learned about BDSM. He was then able to turn his passions and desires into becoming a very well-known master and one who trains women for other masters. He's had a few women that he's kept for a while, but none that he has wanted to keep forever. He still has regrets over one woman in his past.

When he opens a catalog of potentials sent to him by a friend, he finds a woman who may be perfect for him. He has to see her to know, and he's going to have to test her to make sure that she can withstand everything he wants.

The Master is the perfect counterpoint to The Monster. We get to see his evolution through the entire series, but in those two particular books, we get a real close look at the differences from then to now. In the Master, we also get glimpses of Jordan and not just The Bishop.

It's a perfect ending to Jordan's story and all that accompanies it. It's dark, it's twisted, and it is definitely full of the f*&*)g of the mind.
