There are some real gems in this book, including the odd running gag (in particular, I flag the books by Newton and Einstein). But there are also some that are cheap shots, either at the author, the characters, or the readers. As with any such collection, I felt there were some that didn't warrant inclusion, and some that I would have liked to see presented in the haiku format.

Entertaining (somewhat), enjoyable (somewhat), but in the end, a bit meh.

This is a cute collection of Jewish-themed haikus, or chai-kus ("so called because of their high chutzpah content"). Jews and Gentiles alike can enjoy these good kosher haikus. The book has a short foreword and then a bit over 90 haikus. The humor is light and simple, with a bit of Jewish wisdom and wit. It is a short and quick read that may make you smiled. I liked this one.

This is a humorous take on Jewish teachings, but I found it to be one dimensional. It's like listening to a standup comedian tell the same joke over and over and over.... not that funny.

I enjoyed this short book....easy to read in one setting. A lot of the haiku's were very funny.
