This book series is super chill and nothing really happens, but that's precisely why I love it.

As a Canadian, I was struck by how basic the camping info in vol1 was. In time, I was impressed by the tidbits of Japan-specific campsite and camp cultural knowledge. The recipes in later volumes are a real hard highlight. The characters are likeable in a generic slice of life way. The art is attractive. While the plots are non-existent, you'll want to keep reading for the well-researched tips. It's just like getting advice from a knowledgeable senpai!

I swear there’s a manga for everything, even about chilling and making quirky friends at a campsite. I’ve never been camping, but I think some of the tips here will work for real. Also, the art has a cool quality with the frequent use of vertical hatch lines, very minor but I noticed. Overall, a very wholesome start to this series.

I don’t know if I’ll find myself reading volume two tho. This isn’t really capturing my interest. I found it a bit boring actually.
