Mmm.. this was a no.

A stripper and lumberjack romance was an interesting concept and I immediately jumped on board once reading the blurb. But nope. This wasn’t cutting it. I hated Nikki and Weston. They had me questioning if they were in their late twenties/early thirties or not with their childish and immature high school behavior. I could never see them ever working out and I couldn’t care less for them or relationship. I just wasn’t feeling this so... bye bye!

I absolutely fell for this story! I have been wanting to dive into the DTF series, and saw this and though it was perfect for my first go. I loved every moment. It is a brilliant storyline, and also hilarious.

I really like the premise of this book, between the innuendos flying, to the comical nature of these two, right through to the perfect friends to lovers style read. It is written beautifully and truly keeps you hanging on every last word.

I liked the pace of the story. It doesn’t fly by, but you aren’t left trudging through lots of unneeded, over-the-top detail. It just perfectly lines out the surroundings, background and current detail to make you feel like part of the adventure, and keeps you fully entertained throughout. Perfect.

The characters are absolutely brilliant. Addams gives us background and characteristics to truly bring these two to life, and you can’t help but cheer for them. You really want to see them stumble right into each other’s arms, for good. I loved that. I also really enjoyed getting to know the two of them.

Overall, an absolutely top-notch read. I highly recommend this book, whether you are a friends to lovers kind of reader or you just want a good laugh, whilst you pine over love, this book has got you covered and is brilliant!… (plus d'informations)
