This book is very good. So good I will have to eviscerate it in my dissertation. It is a very very good interpretation of what Aristotle means by "character," especially insofar as it takes into account Aristotle's nuanced concept of prohairesis (roughly, choices that reveal character), and concludes--correctly IMHO--that good deliberation will always entail the coordination between emotions and reason.
