To much mushy romance and unrequited love among the Core 6, not enough action. Where is the danger and adventure I fell in love with while watching the tv series because it's seriously lacking in this book. And the previous one as well.

A bit too romantic than action-packed in this volume. And too much Isabel, a character I really don't find interesting. Also, new character Nikolas is one of the big additions to the Roswell crew in this book. But his character was never introduced in the CW tv show through it's .three-year run.

A bit too mushy at times with the budding romance between Max and Liz. Very teen-angst. But a fun read, and interesting to see how some of the elements of the book differed from the Roswell tv adaptation in the early 2000's. (A show which I loved). Clearly the tv show was going for more drama. Maria, and especially Alex, were not aware of the aliens- on-earth as quickly as portrayed in this first book. And Alex was geeky/awkward in the show, whereas the book portrays him as a cool, confident guy that Isabel is interested in nearly right away. And there was no talk in the show about the auras that only Max, Isabel and Michael can see in humans. Yes, many things different from the show, but excited to keep reading the next volume in this series.… (plus d'informations)

Nice to put faces to all these characters, having watched the tv show but never realizing it was based on a series of books. This is the first one of the ten available by Melinda Metz. I enjoyed it. Interesting how they make the character of Alex much cooler than he was in the show. Isabel never dated Alex in the show. This book left on a cliffhanger so eager to read more. .
