A powerful book. The story of a young girl from India sold into child prostitution. It was heartwrenching in some parts but a still a beautiful story.

A disgusting read. Skipped through a lot. It's not a "devastating look into a global crisis" as noted on the cover. It's a sick book about a poor girl. Had a hard time processing it.

This is a graphic and haunting account of the life of an Indian child prostitute, Batuk. She was sold into prostitution by her father at the age of 9 and is 15 when she begins her journal, The Blue Notebook. Despite the disturbing and graphic content it is a compelling read and Batuk's voice will stay with me for a long time.

So sad! I read this in a single day.
