After a stressful year and lots of job hunting ahead of me, I wanted to reconnect with what is most important to me in the workplace. This book was disappointing in that I felt jarred by the "sales pitch". It frequently felt like the author was describing marketing gimmicks rather than genuine efforts at caring. However, I imagine it is important to "sell" the value of caring to some employers. It was also frequently aimed at managers rather than at everyone.

Having said that, the book was easy to read and did have some good ideas. I am noticing that as a result of reading it I am starting to be a little more conscious of the people around me, not just at work but everywhere. I am more likely to say "good morning" to people I pass on the street or to smile at people on the bus. So it probably addressed a need for me, and hopefully some of the ideas will stay in the back of my mind for future use.… (plus d'informations)

Great collection of inspiring stories of people doing extraordinary acts of service. Small book. Stories are ment to provoke one to be an extraordinary employee.
