've been eagerly awaiting each next installment of this story, and it never disappoints. This is a wonderful fantasy series with interesting heroes, elves, villains, dragons - and even zombies! Somehow, it all works together. While it is certainly a fairy tale, by this installment it doesn't really refer to Cinderella anymore, not that that matters to me.

I love extra twists with elves and evil forest and the Wall (jeez, don't even start! tho it serves the same function).

Can't wait for book 2, but seeing how there are 5 of them planned with 3 months in between I think I am going to wait until the series is finished.

Really good fantasy.

Writing a book about a country/language you don’t know? ASK. A. NATIVE.
Here is "Ask An Expert" link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_folder/249694?group_id=20149 . There is a "Regional Experts" thread. Please, use it.

I really regret getting the audible version of this book. One easily avoidable mistake almost ruined it for me.

While the accents were good, I just can't comprehend why the vampires who speak many languages and over a very long period of time still retain very heavy accents. Any thoughts anyone? Really wanna figure that one out.

Club Diavol is all nice and dandy, and is correct in its written version. However this narrator's version "DIA-VOL" is nowhere near correct and not even remotely recognizable to the native speaker.

The narrator should have used English version "devil", since it's much closer to the Russian pronunciation "d'yavel" than "dia-vol".

Check this out (google gave me results within 5 sec): https://ru.forvo.com/word/дьявол/#ru

Распиздяйство, господа! Простите за выражение :/

Bottom line: great story, but a full star off for the lack of research.

It was okay, not what I expected, but still good. Very quick read.
Will continue with the series.

4.75* //

Aidan's father has stopped giving child support, which puts them-- he, his mom, and younger sister, Sarah-- in dire straits. This leaves no choice for his mom, who then decided to go back to her childhood home where her father still leaves. On their last leg of the journey, Aidan learns that his grandfather, who's also part of a bizarre and a bit fanatic religious cult, hates him because he thinks that Aidan's a Sidhe. Already feeling uneasy about this move, Aidan secretly wishes that he's somewhere else.

Quite a great, enjoyable read. The art style is beautiful, especially the toners in the background, like in the panels that show the primordial woods-- they're very atmospheric and quite effective for setting up the overall tone of this volume. The storytelling is fluid and each panel serves a purpose in delivering a seamless storytelling without feeling like some details are left out or rushed. I'm quite excited to continue reading this series.½

Bought the 5 books of this series back in 2015 mainly because Chris Patton narrated the audiobook. Its on the short side because they are 5 installment in total.
hot mer dreams, beach houses, and a jolly Santa.
Book ended with a cliffhanger.

It started off good. Cops and drug busts. They it all changed to lust. Gazing and fantasying. I think there were 4 masturbation scenes. Why? Couldn’t we invest the time exploring the mystery? I’ll tell you why, because we won’t solve anything in this book.
Hallucinations, men repeatedly blushing, mummies, and a bad cliffhanger.

no I don't think I want to read the second book. Might change my mind one rainy day

Pretty good. I like the story line so far. It's too bad I don't want to spend the crazy money to buy the other fifteen million volumes.
