This is an action backed and engaging book for 3rd-5th graders. A prominent theme is the dangers of modern technology but the tech is outdated because it was written in the late 90’s. But I kind of like this as offering kids a view of both the 90’s and 1800’s. Would have this in my classroom library! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

It was not that at all. That was a pleasant surprise. The title is meant in its normal way- if the main character doesn't hurry, she might fail in her task.
Rather than time travel, the main premise is that of a girl whose life is not, and never has been, what she thought it was. She needs to leave the only life she's ever known and enter a shocking new world, risking all she has to rescue the society she knows and loves. ( )
