Come and Get Me was very much a page turner. The chapters frequently ended on a cliff hanger that left me reading well past my bedtime. The book really gets into the mind of the scorned woman well and as the story unravels she gets even more unhinged. I love these types of fast-paced, well written thrillers. It makes the read that much more enjoyable. Recommended for anyone who loves a good suspense thriller. ( )

No matter how many precautions are in place, It only takes one slip-up for a parent’s worst nightmare to become a reality.

Overwhelmed and exhausted, Cassie conked out in her study while newborn Daisy was napping upstairs. She was also mom to 5 year-old Piper and maintained a blog/podcast. It was a LOT. Cassie followed a strict schedule to keep things running smoothly.

Until things went off-track. Her routine is predictable and therein lies its weakness. August’s scorned ex, Vanessa was just waiting, watching, and preparing for the moment to set her plan in motion.

But things don’t go according to plan…for anyone.

This was an engrossing read. The multiple perspectives fleshed out the characters of Cassie, August, and Vanessa. I was, initially, ambivalent about the end. But, after giving it some thought, it was true to life. ( )

Very rarely do I give early reviewers books this high of a score, but this one? This is a perfect book. The story is engaging, relatable, brutal, and written so incredibly well. The story of a kidnapping, and without giving too much away, you do get the perspective from both parties involved. You grow to really be disappointed in some characters, but the ending is just so … it’s left unfulfilled, but I actually find that to be a better resolution than the normal law and order ending. It’s so so so good. I already have a list of people I’m going to tell about this book. No notes. It’s brilliant. ( )
