At times this book is hard to read. I think this is a cultural thing. Some of the phrases seem odd but maybe not for the area this is written in. Very simple writing and I prefer more intense story. ( )

After learning of an unusual inheritance from her grandmother, Cathy went to the storage unit at the old mill only to discover that it wasn't about the storage unit. She found a witches coven, a magical apartment, many new friends, and her grandmother's ghost to show her around.

Cute story, good characters but had a few grammatical bumps, it was a fun story overall. ( )

I have tried reading this book numerous times, but I can't even get past the first chapter due to egregious errors in syntax and grammar usage. The writing is jerky and disjointed and did not grip me in any way in order for me to continue. I am now checking it off my list because I can't try anymore. ( )

I liked the idea of this story, and it was good. Unfortunately the telling was a little cumbersome in the way there were so many explanations to things that could be assumed by the reader or written in a less annoying way. The actual copy of the book was full of errors - meaningless sentences, mis-spelling, words missed out, wrong words used (e.g. from instead of form). In general this book needs a good editor.
I love the idea of the whole scenario and would like to read more, but if subsequent books are written in the same way I am not sure if I will read them.

Enjoyed this one it was a fun story with magic and mystery which i always find a good combination. Liked the development of the main character finding her way. Was a little confused about where exactly she was staying...that was probably me not paying attention but I couldn't figure out if she was staying in the mill or near it, loved the way the rooms opened up to her. All in all it was an interesting story with interesting characters ( )
