I was terrified for Zadie and her friends all the way through this book with good reason. They were up against a tyrant and powerful sorcerers. I wasn't sure if she could outsmart them this time.
There was never a dull moment. In fact, I had to take breaks in certain parts of the book because they were so intense. Once my butt muscles unclenched, I was able to continue reading.
It's sad to say goodbye to this series and the characters with whom I fell in love with. I'll have to look into reading more from this writing duo. (
